Chapter 51 - Co-Conspirators

Danny heard a soft knock. He quickly crossed the room and pulled open the heavy oak door to find Mandy on the doorstep.

“Did you get the stuff?” he asked her as she stepped through the door and into the small tiled entryway.

“Well, hello to you, too,” she replied, grinning. “Yep. It’s all right here.” She held up a large gray duffel bag.

“Great!” Danny answered, taking the bag from her. He turned and moved briskly down the short hallway and into the next room, Mandy following him.

“Holy Shit!” Mandy exclaimed, stopping in her tracks and gaping at her surroundings.

Danny chuckled at her response. Holy shit is right, he thought. He had the same reaction when he arrived twenty minutes ago.

“What? You’ve never seen the inside of one of these villas before?” Danny teased. “Girl, you need to get yourself a Sugar Daddy!” He grinned and gave Mandy a wink, then walked across the expansive living room to a large, open doorway. “Wait ‘til you see this,” he added, gesturing for her to follow him.

Mandy walked over to where Danny stood, then followed him through the doorway. She found herself standing in the master suite, staring at a massive, luxurious, canopied four-poster bed. Her eyes widened, then a slow grin spread across her face.

“Luuu-cky Bitch!” she breathed. She chuckled and shook her head. If Cate didn’t let Jon fuck her stupid in this big, beautiful bed, then she really was hopeless. And already stupid.

Danny laughed, then looked at his watch. “C’mon, get moving. We need to get this done and get out of here.” He crossed to the bed and set the duffel on the long, suede-upholstered bench at its foot. Mandy moved over to sit on the end of the bench as Danny unzipped the bag and rooted through its contents. “Jesus, woman! How much shit did you pack?” he asked Mandy.

“Just the essentials. That’s not much at all!” Mandy protested. “Girls need more stuff than guys. We can’t help it.”

Danny pulled out a toiletry bag and handed it to Mandy. “This goes in the bathroom. It’s over there.” He pointed to a closed set of oak pocket doors on the opposite side of the room.

Mandy moved over to them and slid one door aside, then stepped into a huge master bath that again had her shaking her head in awe. I need to win the lottery. Or marry a rock star, she thought.

Mandy couldn’t resist peeking into the medicine cabinet, smiling as she saw Jon’s shaving cream, razor, toothbrush, and cologne. She quickly spritzed a bit of Jon’s RSVP into the air, humming with pleasure as she breathed in the scent. She giggled when she saw that there were three different types of hair styling product in the cabinet. So that’s how he keeps that gorgeous head of hair looking so sexy!

Mandy replaced the cologne bottle in the cabinet, then set Cate’s toiletry bag on the long vanity counter and went back into the bedroom. She saw that Danny had laid out some of Cate’s clothing on the bench. He turned to look at her and held up Cate’s bra, the satiny garment dangling from his finger by a strap.

“Don’t need this!” he grinned, tossing it to Mandy. “Hey, this may be a surprise for Cate, but gotta look out for My Man Jon, too!”

Mandy laughed. “You are having way too much fun with this!”

“Yep!” Danny answered merrily. He pulled a pair of skimpy panties out of the bag and held them up, his eyebrows raised. “Bon Jovi thong? Nice!” he laughed. “She’s gonna kill you.”

“Hey, at least I didn’t throw Swing in there!” Mandy grinned. “Don’t worry, there are some ‘real’ panties in there too.”

Four panties?” Danny asked, taking a quick inventory. “Christ, Mandy, how long do you think she’s gonna stay?”

Mandy grinned dirtily. “Danny, she’s gonna be alone with Jon Freakin’ Bon Jovi. She’s gonna soak those things so fast she’ll probably need four more.”

Danny grimaced. “Eewww. Sorry I asked,” he replied. He pulled a plain, ice blue silky slip nightgown out of the bag. “Is this the sexiest nightie she has?” he asked.

Mandy nodded. “Sadly, it is,” she replied. “And I don’t think it’s been worn more than a couple times.”

Danny tossed the slip to Mandy. “You’re gonna have to take her shopping,” Danny chuckled. "Poor Jon deserves better than that, as much shit as she’s put him through this week.”

“Yeah, well, I have a feeling he’d prefer she not wear anything at all.” Mandy giggled. “Hey, at least I left the Soul jersey at home.”

“Hell, I’m surprised you didn’t bring the Stetson.” Danny answered.

“That would just be weird.” Mandy countered. “Don’t know if poor Jonny could concentrate with Richie in the room….symbolically I mean.” She gave Danny another dirty little grin. “Wouldn’t want to do anything to dampen his… enthusiasm.”

“That’s just wrong.” Danny laughed. He pawed quickly through the remaining contents of the bag, then zipped it and set it on the floor, pushing it under the bench with his foot. “C’mon, a couple more things, then let’s get out of here. They’ll be coming back soon.”

Mandy followed Danny back into the living room, gawking at the understated but elegant décor. She felt a little pang of jealousy that her friend was going to get to spend the night here in this perfectly beautiful villa with that perfectly beautiful man. She dropped Cate’s garments onto the huge leather ottoman in front of the gigantic sectional couch, then moved into the kitchen.

Mandy helped Danny carry several things into the living room, then Danny dimmed the lights. They drifted around the room, lighting candle after candle. Finally, Danny moved to the French doors leading out to the deck, clicking open the lock. He went out onto the deck and lit the candles arranged out there, then came back in and closed the doors, leaving them unlocked.

“That it?” he asked Mandy, looking around the room.

“I think so,” she answered, moving over to the ottoman and picking up Cate’s bra and nightie. She sighed dreamily and looked around the room. “She’s gonna love this.” She gave Danny an approving look. “Ya done good, Bro.”

Danny chuckled softly and nodded. He pulled his Blackberry from his belt and typed a quick text message, then slid the device back into its holster. “C’mon, Woman. Let me buy you a drink,” he grinned to Mandy. “They have a great bar here. I know the bartender. Ashley always takes good care of me.”

“I’m sure she does,” Mandy laughed, rolling her eyes. They walked to the front door and let themselves out of Jon’s villa, careful to lock the door behind them.
